Zak is a Melbourne based film critic and film programmer, and the former chairman of the AFCA. 

He currently appears on ABC TV's national ABC News Breakfast program and other ABC Radio programs. He is also the General Manager of Melbourne's iconic Astor Theatre, where he curates the theatre's eclectic program.

Just read your comments about films dealing with pandemics.
The ‘daddy’ of this particular genre, is not The Andromeda Strain - as you say. It’s all right, but It’s nowhere near as effective and frightening as Kazan’s “Panic In The Streets” You should screen it sometime.
